Sustainable practice mean making ecosystems and environments livable for all species now and into the future.

Livestock are excellent in contributing to the preservation of biodiversity and carbon sequestration in soil.

In less productive systems, livestock is the conduit between humans and environment - animals convert natural resources into food (and fiber) for local communities.

Sustainability in animal production is also a sign of progressive practice in this area with animal welfare practices making strides into sustainability in the industry.
